Performance creative agency for DTC brands
Performance creative for DTC brands, built from real street reactions
We take your product onto the street, film unscripted reactions from real people, and cut them into paid-social ads with multiple hooks and lengths, ready to test.
- Filmed in Los Angeles and San Diego
- Brief in 4 days
- 14-day production window
One interview, three openings
- Hook A · 0:00 to 0:03“Is salt bad for you?”
- Hook B · 0:00 to 0:03“Quick question. Do you avoid salt?”
- Hook C · 0:00 to 0:03“How much salt did you eat today?”
What performance creative means here
Performance creative is ad creative made to be tested and judged by numbers: how many people stop scrolling, how long they watch, whether they click and what each sale costs.
For us that means street interview ads, built so you can find the winners fast. Every concept is shot with several opening lines and cut into different lengths, so your ad account has real options to test instead of one polished video to bet on.
What we make
One format, done properly, in the lengths and versions paid social needs.
Street interview ads
Real strangers try your product and react on camera. The format we are built around.
Video ad production
Concept, questions, shoot and edit, delivered as finished, captioned ads ready to run.
Short-form video ads
Hook variations and 15 and 30 second cutdowns for TikTok, Reels and Meta.
How a production cycle works
From your first form to finished ads, with the brief in 4 days and a 14-day production window once you have signed off.
Concept and questions
We study your product and the ads you already run, then write the concept and the interview questions. You approve them in writing before anyone films.
Street shoot
A host and a camera operator take your product to real people in Los Angeles or San Diego. Cameras are visible, and everyone we feature agrees on camera. You don’t need to be there.
Edit into hooks and cutdowns
Each interview is cut tight and opens on the hook, never the product name. We shoot several opening lines per concept, so you get hook variations and 15 and 30 second cutdowns.
Launch and test (optional)
If you want, we launch the ads we made in your ad account and report on how each hook and cut performs. We only touch the ads we produced.
Next shoot
What won shapes the next round of questions, hooks and cuts, so each batch starts from real results instead of guesses.
What we don’t do
We make the ads and, if you want, test the ones we made. So you know up front, here is what we leave to you or to other partners:
- Account management or media buying for your whole ad account
- Full-funnel growth strategy
- Conversion rate optimization (CRO)
- Email or SMS marketing
- Creator UGC
First concept
Is salt bad for you?
Everyone on the street says yes. Almost nobody can say why. The interview walks strangers into that contradiction, then hands them an electrolyte drink to try on camera.
- Three hooks shot for the opening, picked in the edit
- A 50 second main cut, with 15 and 30 second cutdowns
- Burned-in captions, with the key word in yellow
How pricing works
Packs of 5, 10, 20 or 40 finished videos. Each pack has one fixed price, paid upfront.
The price depends on the pack size, rush timelines and whether you add testing. We are finishing the public price list; book a call and we will send the current one.
Questions brands ask
What is a street interview ad?
A short video ad where a host stops real people on the street, asks them about the problem your product solves, and lets them try it on camera. The questions are planned. The answers and reactions are not.
Who is Host Outside for?
DTC and consumer brands that already run paid social and need a steady supply of new video ads. We work with small and mid-size brands, not only the biggest spenders.
Do we need to be at the shoot?
No. You approve the brief and, for physical products, ship us the product. We handle the host, the camera, the people on the street and the edit.
Where do you film?
In Los Angeles and San Diego.
How long does it take?
We send the brief within 4 days of your onboarding form. Finished videos arrive within 14 days of the last thing we need from you: your written sign-off on the brief and, for physical products, the product itself.
Do you run the ads for us?
Only if you want us to, and only the ads we made. We can launch and test them in your ad account and report on how each one performs. We don’t manage the rest of your account.
Who owns the videos?
You do, once they’re paid for. Use them in ads, on your site and on social for as long as you like.
